Gel Coat
and Glass Work
 I
skip the technicalities, but the first step, after the mould is set
up and prepared, is to spray in the gel coat. Then
the glass is laid up, followed by the vacuum bagged Divinycell PVC foam core below the water line.
The gel
coat for our boat was sprayed into the mould on February
15, 2005. Glass work and vacuum bagging were
finished around February 16. To the right is a
shot of the boat on February 15, with the Smoke White
gel coat already sprayed in, ready for glasswork.
