ESMERALDE is a Sabre 386, designed by Jim Taylor and built in 2005 by Sabre Yachts in Raymond, Maine.  She has a deep draft keel (6'10"), a tall carbon rig and a Yanmar sail drive.

Check out our famous "Birth of a Boat Video"!

ESMERALDE was featured in a series of North Sails ads in the fall of 2005.  Click here to see one of the ads, photographed by Onne Van Der Wal.

SAILS are by North Sails.  She carries a 105% jib as her standard headsail, and has a Code 0 and an asymetrical spinnaker.  For the Bermuda Race we added a dual purpose staysail, a heavy weather forestaysail, a storm jib and a storm trysail.
